Norwich po sedmi letech zavítá opět na půdu Aston Villy
Villa Park nám nabídne zajímavý duel tabulkových sousedů, domácí celek zde přivítá doposud skvěle se prezentující Norwich. Kanárci se do Premier League vracejí po dlouhých sedmi letech, svému slavnějšími soupeři však mají rozhodně co vracet, právě v posledním vzájemném měření sil zde totiž utrpěli pěkný výprask.
Aston Villu trápí v letošní sezóně zhoubná nemoc a tou je až přílišný počet nerozhodných výsledků, které se navíc často rodí v zápasech, kde se Villans dostanou do vedení. Ukázkovým případem je poslední utkání na Stadium of Light, kde svěřenci Alexe McLeishe hned dvakrát vedli, nakonec se však museli znovu spokojit jen s bodem. Takhle již celek z Villa Parku ztratil z utkání, kde vstřelil branku jako první devět bodů, což je suverénně nejvíce v celé soutěži. O to horší je potom zjištění, že podobná statistika se s tímto týmem vlekla již po značnou část minulé sezóny.
To na druhé straně Kanárci si jakožto nováček vedou až nad očekávání dobře. A přitom je tomu již sedm let, co se tento tým vyznávající zelenožluté barvy objevil v Premier League. Tehdy se však Norwich potácel od samého začátku na chvostu tabulky, na první výhru čekal až do listopadu, což mu jak se později ukázalo, zlomilo vaz. Nyní je to ale jiná písnička, celek z Norfolku je nejvýše postaveným nováčkem, z posledních šesti duelů ztratil jediný na Old Trafford a na konto si za tu dobu připsal skvělých jedenáct bodů.
Domácí lodivod může mít radost alespoň z vyprazdňující se marodky. Premiéru od svého letního příchodu z Tottenhamu by si mohl odbýt uzdravený Jermaine Jenas, který konečně vyléčil vleknoucí se zranění Achillovy šlachy. Klub poté omilostnil Barryho Bannana, jenž nedávno zavinil pod vlivem alkoholu dopravní nehodu, v týdnu už však začal znovu trénovat se spoluhráči a měl by tak být připraven. Mimo hru potom i nadále zůstává Eric Lichaj.
To u Norwiche se předpokládá, že Paul Lambert pošle do utkání stejnou jedenáctku, která se tak úspěšně prezentovala v posledních zápasech. Kdo se v ní s jistotou neobjeví, jsou dlouhodobě zranění Daniel Ayala, James Vaughan, Elliot Ward a Zak Whitbread.
